چکیده

Purpose: To investigate the role of β-eudesmol in septic liver injury mice. Methods: Mice were intraperitoneally injected with 50 or 100 mg/kg β-eudesmol, and then subjected to cecal ligation puncture for establishment a model 2 h later. Haematoxylin eosin staining was used evaluate histopathological changes tissues. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) dUTP Nick-End Labeling (TUNEL) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) employed determine damage, while inflammation oxidative stress evaluated by ELISA.Results: Liver tissues mice showed infiltration inflammatory cells, vacuolar degeneration obscure nucleus. However, treatment ameliorated (p < 0.01). Moreover, also reduced hepatocyte apoptosis, decreased levels biomarkers damage. The up-regulation TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 significantly down-regulated 0.01), but increased superoxide dismutase (SOD) glutathione (GSH) malondialdehyde (MDA) myeloperoxidase (MPO) order protect against sepsis. In addition, attenuated punctureinduced p-p65 0.01).Conclusion: β-Eudesmol exerts anti-inflammatory anti-oxidant effects inactivating NF-κB signaling, thus may be useful as potential agent management

β-arrestin 2 attenuates lipopolysaccharide-induced liver injury via inhibition of TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway-mediated inflammation in mice

AIM To study the role and the possible mechanism of β-arrestin 2 in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced liver injury in vivo and in vitro. METHODS Male β-arrestin 2+/+ and β-arrestin 2-/- C57BL/6J mice were used for in vivo experiments, and the mouse macrophage cell line RAW264.7 was used for in vitro experiments. The animal model was established via intraperitoneal injection of LPS or physiolog...

Protective Effects of Celastrol on Diabetic Liver Injury via TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB Signaling Pathway in Type 2 Diabetic Rats

Immune and inflammatory pathways play a central role in the pathogenesis of diabetic liver injury. Celastrol is a potent immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory agent. So far, there is no evidence regarding the mechanism of innate immune alterations of celastrol on diabetic liver injury in type 2 diabetic animal models. The present study was aimed at investigating protective effects of celastro...

Brazilin exerts protective effects against renal ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting the NF-κB signaling pathway

Renal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is associated with high morbidity and mortality as there is currently no available effective therapeutic strategy with which to treat this injury. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the potential protective effects of brazilin, a major active component of the Chinese medicine Caesalpinia sappan L., against renal I/R injury in vitro and in vivo...

Protective Effect of Klotho against Ischemic Brain Injury Is Associated with Inhibition of RIG-I/NF-κB Signaling

Aging is the greatest independent risk factor for the occurrence of stroke and poor outcomes, at least partially through progressive increases in oxidative stress and inflammation with advanced age. Klotho is an antiaging gene, the expression of which declines with age. Klotho may protect against neuronal oxidative damage that is induced by glutamate. The present study investigated the effects ...
